With four specialist training facilities in Aberdeen, we have the capability to deliver safety services from a complete 360° perspective. The facilities include a safety and survival center, skills and lifting hall, drilling facility, maritime center and a fire training ground.

Our evolving digital capabilities means we are delivering a combination of practical and virtual training for the oil and gas, drilling and renewables sectors. Through a mix of blended learning and online training, we are able to enhance the learning experience, deliver cost reductions, and improve efficiency for our customers.

Drilling & well control

The flagship Aberdeen Drilling School training center is based in the center of Aberdeen, providing technical training to the offshore drilling and well industry since 1982. Aberdeen Drilling School is part of RelyOn, providing bespoke training packages, technical consultancy, and a market-leading provider of IWCF & IADC accredited courses in well control for drilling and well servicing operations.

Advanced digital simulation technologies

In Aberdeen, we have two full-size rig floor simulators which replicate the equipment being used offshore for drilling activity. Furthermore, we have installed an offshore crane simulator within our skills center. Simulators allow us to train delegates in real-world working conditions, verifying delegate’s response to emergency situations, and assessing against variants which cannot be created on demand without the use of simulators.

As specialists in the provision of training management services (TMS) to the global oil and gas industry, and with the service underpinned by market-leading software, we manage the training, compliance and competence requirements of several major operators, drilling contractors and service companies.

With subject matter experts in competence, crisis management and health and safety, we assess and reduce risk from every angle and are the safety partner of choice for customers in high risk industries.

Our portable drilling simulators, ADS1-Drill and ADS2-Drill, can be leased on a day rate allowing you to train your crew on-site in your own time. The portable models are particularly effective in refreshing a crew’s well control knowledge and implementing best practices for stuck pipe prevention during drilling operations.

Our full-sized simulator models, ADS3-Drill and ADS4-Drill, deliver unique functionality for drilling training with an innovative and realistic, dynamic drilling simulation experience. These fixed facilities are equipped with our full-size simulators, offering you the opportunity to train with the best solution on the market. Our full-scale models are available at our Aberdeen center to elevate your training experiences to the highest standard.
